| Alex Boylan is no stranger to adventure. He won CBS's "The Amazing Race II," a chance of a lifetime in which he and a childhood friend
circumnavigated the globe in a month. But this wasn't the first time he left his hometown of Boston. His family traveled often
throughout Europe, instilling in young Alex a passion for cuisine and tradition. Carving lamb in Turkey, catching octopus in Greece,
and picking the luscious fruits of Northern Italy all fed his curiosity and ambition. After living as an exchange student in Campina
Grande, Brazil, Alex returned to the United States long enough to graduate from Jacksonville University in Florida. These days, Alex's travels have taken on a decidedly culinary nature as the host of this exciting new series. His destinations are the famous five-star restaurants, and their celebrated chefs are his guides. Alex conveys a boyish excitement, whether he's slicing and dicing with a chef, browsing produce at a market or inspecting the catch of the day. So bring your appetite and your sense of adventure, and pull up a chair at the Chef's Table! ©2004 PineRidge Film & Television Company |
